[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everybody,
For my 50th post I chose to upload something full of drama. The scenery, the action, everything is packed with tension.
The weather very windy (as you can see from the water and ruffled feathers) and a storm was brewing (hence the dark colors). I was in a hurry to get home when my eyes were attracted to this.
The swan in the back is a territorial male, which has a nice girl in that part of the river. I have even seen them mating (also took pictures but they are not that good; maybe I will post them just for the documentation value). The bird in the front is an intruder.
The dominant male is in its displaying position and it was racing towards the intruder to chase him away.
A race followed both on water and in flight until the intruder was driven away from the territory.

I chose this pic for the strong colors and contrasts and the action of it. The dominant male looks like a war gallion in full tilt. It looks so menacing.

The pic is a severe crop of the original since the birds were very far away.
This is also my firs pic with blurred FG. What do you think?

Salut Catalin si felicitari pentru acest numar frumos de post-uri la care ai ajuns!
La mai mare! ;)

Dramatism e ntr-adevar cuvantul de lege in aceasta poza iar contrastul foarte puternic si profunzimea cilorilor subliniaza aceste aspect.
Ca reziltat, imactul fotografiei e unul exceptional, iar compozitia e una foarte impozanta.

I like dramatic colour tones of your picture, which suits for pictured scene so much. I also like impressive lights and shadows, composition and sharpness of the image, richness of reflected scenery. My compliments and best wishes.

Hi Catalin, a very nice well composed shot of these swans. Detail, sharpnss light and range of colours on the swans is superb. It all works so well as the surrounding area is dark.

Hi Catalin, congratulation on your 50th posting. This is a very good picture. After reading your notes, the aggressive male does seem to look like a war ship in full tilt.Goos work. I liked the colours. The details are good. The blurred BG enhances, or rather does not distract us from the action behind. A very good capture indeed.
