ARROWHEAD
Sagittaria sagittifolium
Alismataceae family ( water plantains)
An aquatic monocot. Submerged leaves ribbon like, leaves above water arrow shaped.
Like other members of the family petals and sepals number 3.
Also has been known as Swamp potatoe...the winter buds ( turions) are edible.
