Hello everybody
Once more I want to present you a picture of the ringed-tailed lemur (Lemur catta).
The information about this species you can find in one of my previous post so I will not put it again.
So today I will tell you more about Fota Wildlife Park.
Fota Island it is one of small islands in the mouth of river Lee, very close to the city Cork. It was the former home of the Smith-Barry family. The estate was sold to University College Cork in 1975. On the island there is old residence, gardens and arboretum. Part of the island is now owned by Fota Island Golf Club.
And on 100 acres there is Fota Wildlife Park. It was established in 1983 and it is joined project of the Zoological Society of Ireland and University College Cork. In this Park there are nearly 30 mammal and 50 bird species. Some of the species dosen't have cages so it is possible to meet them on the trails (for example kangoroo).
I think that's enough for today :)
In the workshop I've presented the same lemur but in slghtly different pose.

Zaryzykuje twierdzenie, ze lemury to jedne z najbardziej wdziecznych zwierzakow :-) I te ich ogony :-) Ten tu ladnie zapozowal, swietna poza i mimika. Swiatlo i jakosc techniczna tez bardzo dobre. Szkoda jedynie, ze zdjecie nie z Madagaskaru :-)
Hi Ania,
A beautiful and well timed capture of this lemur. Nice details and well composed. Thanks a lot for sharing.
This is actually funny to me seeing the tail wrapped like that.
Very good clarity and pose Ania.
Tfs
