Hi Graham,
Welcome to TN. Good first posting with good use of the thirds rule. You've also kept from any over exposure on the white, wich is great. You could have moved the flower a little more to the right, but that one minor detail. I do feel that when you used a different POV and showed is some of the inside of the flower, the photo whould have been better. Further, some Photoshop work will do the photo well too. I think more contrast, saturation and some brightness. Anyway, good first try and I hope to see more.
