The primrose is a relatively common wildflower in Ireland in springtime. Primroses like shaded, sheltered habitats. Their bright yellow colours stand out under hedge rows and enbankments. They are sometimes used for medicinal purposes.

Hi Tim,

Your flower is Primula vulgaris indeed. We have it here too, being a springtime sign.
I like your POV and you got also clarity in your shot. What you have too much is the contrast, making the petals to look overexposed and the BG underexposed.
