[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I -think- these are Spring Gentians (Gentiana Verna), but, not being a botanist, I am unsure. I shot these on the Burren in north county Clare, on the west coast of Ireland. The Burren is a unique karst limestone landscape in Europe, which boasts a range of flora normally seen only in Alpine areas of Europe.

Hi Tim, I love in the USA and I see these flowers everywhere at this time of year. I've posted a few pictures of them myself, please check them out. I've always just called them violets, but I have no idea what the scientific name is. I think they're so pretty that I actually pull them up in the wild and plant them in containers outside of my house!

great picture with a good DOF and nice color. The lighting is a bit plain, and doesn't do anything to add to the picture. But the composition (having the three pictures all in the shot) is a nice idea and works well in the photo. Good job, TFS!
