[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Benbulben, is one of Ireland's most beautiful mountains. Together with much of Sligo's surrounding scenery it became a source of inspiration to the Irish poet W.B Yeats.

Benbulben's distinctive outline results from the different responses to erosion of the limestone and shale of which the mountain is formed. A hard and resistant limestone (the Dartry Limestone) forms the upper cliffs and precipices. Softer shales lower down the mountain are largely hidden beneath a scree formed of eroded fragments of Dartry limestone.

Very nice perspective and presentation, love the lens, are you happy with it? Cheers. Tim

Hi Stephen,
What a beautiful scenery and what an excellent POV with the trunk and grass as great leadlines that lead me toward Benbulben. It is a shame that you have some over exposed spots, since they are atracting the eye away from the more beautiful parts. Maybe a shorter exposure time would have limited it.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Stephen

I have been 'off line' for a while and now catching up on what has been posted. Still away on holiday so this is a short critique.

Well done on this lovely post. Everything looks spot on. Very nice work. :-)

Fantastic shot Stephen,
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours, lighting and exposure.
Well composed and nicely framed.
Thanks for posting, have a great end to the week

Excellent work Steve,
Perfect color, exposure, framing, and POV.
I assume this was with tripod then? How do you decide, with this much light, to go F/10?
If tripod was used, would not one go for a slightly smaller aperture? Windy??
Very well done.

I liked very much to see this one.
Looks as if some kind of prehistoric huge animal was burried there.
You get wonderful POVs with the short lens. Nice exposure too.
Thanks MF, best wishes.
