[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
No this is not "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" but rather a close encounter with nature as man and boy gaze out on a beautiful sunset over the beach at Strandhill which is situated in the North West of Ireland.

The beauty of a sunset is a splendor to behold,
sometimes the sky's afire with tints of red and gold. Then other times it's gentle like a lovers soft embrace, enthralling us in grandeur to be blessed with such a place.

How special are these moments that nature lets us see, moments where our spirits will struggle to be free. These moments, when they find us, bring contented inner peace, moments that we purge ourselves and give our souls release.

Great! Well done!! The light, the composition, sharpness, all is well done in the pic...

Wonderful and beautiful photo as always!

Another glorious shot Stephen,
What a lovely warm capture of a very nice sunset.
The reflection of the sun on the sand looks good.
Thanks for posting

I really don't know what to write this time ;-)
Great atmosphere and POV!
I don't know if I make myself clear, but I think you managed to capture the space here. This shot has depth.
Very well done!

Very nice picture. The reflection of the sun is great and people in the foreground give depth and "grandiose" to the scene.

Just perfect Stephen, the colours, details, composition, even the frame. Wonderful nature at work. Well done!

Stephen such a lovely sunset, with a very poetic note, I think if you're not already your poetry should be published. I couldn't write an original word if I tried, well I could, but it wouldn't be a lovely as what you've written.
The photo is simply stunning, the sky so vibrant, the waves rolling on endlessly into the horizon, the lovely reflection on the sand, and the people all combine to make this sunset special. Well done.

Stephen, I'm not sure how you pull these out of your hat but this is excellent..You've provided a superb view of this sunset with the light breaking through the clouds, running across the water, & hitting the wet sand illuminating it also..You've added what looks like father & son providing very good interest to the shot..Enjoyed this very much. Great words you've shared..I needed this..You da man!!

Great view Stephen.
Very good colours, DOF, details and coposition.
And the horizon is exactly straight, which is very important for this kind of pictures.
Excellent work.

This shot is to make all those Nationaql geographic photograhers green with envy Stephen. One of your best. Very well done

Hi Stephen, this is another great shot. The colours are superb and the composition is very strong too. Very well done.

I think that one of the joys of life is take you lover to your favourite place, warmly embrace each other and watch the sun set. Thanks for yanking me out of work mode for a momment and make a date with my partner.
Oh, obviusly its a great shot, the people add scale to the image. My only nit is that this shot may be more in line with TrekEarth rather than TE, but that's just my opinion.

I like this photo very much - the colour, composition and clarity are all excellent.

Great shot of this fascinating scenery, Stephen !
