This is a Turdus Philomelos. In winter it feeds mainly on frozen berries and whatever it can find. Here is depicted in a Hedera Helix vine. Most birds here in Ireland thrive on this ivy's fruits.
Another particular feture of the song thrush is that it seldom eats snails by crushing their shells on preffered rocks.

It has a strong and pleasant voice whipe singing. It breeds 2-3 times per season laying 4-5 eggs. The female incubates alone the brood.
Slightly smaller than the blackbird, the familiar song thrush has brown upperparts and creamy underparts with obvious dark brown spots. The beautiful song is loud and musical, with repeated phrases. In flight, a soft 'sip' call is produced.
