I can help You in ID specification: Your photo shows Pholiota squarrosa, without doubt, a common specie growing on dead, sometimes living hardwoods and conifers, always in the root zone, in big bunch. Cap and stem textures are very special, they correspond. Not edible, bitter.

Another, closed specie is Pholiota squarrosoides. The main differences between these species are microscopical, but the latter one's growing only on broadleaved, never on conifers like on Your photo.
