The sambucina is quite a robust but squat plant,it has a scent of elder and the flowers are either yellow or purple.The centre yellow spotted red. It grows upto 10-30(45)cm tall.
Its flowering times are(March)April-July.
It grows on calcareous to slightly acidic dry to damp subtrates.Short,poor grasslands,meadows,mountain pastures,open woodland,mostly montane upto 2600m

Hi,
Beautiful Orchid flower. TFS.
The colours are a bit dull, perhaps because of harsh sun light. I have posted a WorkShop version with increased contrast. Please comment.

This come a little late...
Lovely species! Have not seen that one before. I like Nirmal's corrected image. It is always difficult to take pix of light flowers in harsh sunlight.
