[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In my little country, Siderno, about ten years ago, the city concil decided to create an artificial dam for watering the crops of citrus. By the time a different habitat with a large pond was created. Now there are many birds of water, that are a very uncommon presence in dry zones. Although the zoom of my digital camera is not good, I liked to share this photo, to show these big birds.
Is there anyone who can identify them?
Thanks and sorry for the bad English.

My guess would be cormarants. The inhabit many lakes and ponds and are known for consuming alot of fish in a day

Ciao Lidia,
come ti ha scritto Jay anche io ti confermo che sono Cormorani (Phalacrocorax carbo). Si vede lì l'acqua è profonda e ricca di pesci.
Ciao e grazie.
Angelo
