Hello Andrea
I had a go at capturing the grey herons the other week and I know just how hard they are...And the grey is nowhere near as good looking as your purple heron.
Fantastic focusing and the light was just right to give a lovely warm glow.

This is indeed a very slender looking bird. You have managed to capture a great in flight shot. The fine details are very clear, and it looks as if this purple heron it has been painted by hand. I like the determined pose of the heron and excellent sharpness of the image. The light colour of your background highlights the prominent characteristics of the heron even more. Thanks for sharing.
