I am not sure about the ID - I think it is P. icarus but I am 100% sure that this is not P. eumedon You have to change the ID Your photo is sharp, with good exposure in a strong sun and nice blured background

anche in questo caso l'ID è controversa, personalmente propendo per Plebejus eumedon, sempre che come per l'altra ID tu abbia osservato anche la parte inferiore delle ali, comunque per me va bene eumedon anche solo sulla base di questa immagine e come ulteriore spiegazione (non scientifica) un eumedon mi ha detto: "ho una predilezione per questo fiore", scherzi a parte immagine piena di colore e di luce con ottima definizione.

Hi Silvio. I could not help with the ID on this one. But it a fine close up all the same. I like your top POV so we can see the full open wings. which has good detail and natural colours. well done TFS.

Now mind you I am not saying this is bad in any way, but the two colours make me have to take off my reading glasses and move further away from the monitor..and I wonder at why...maybe my ophthalmologist might know...could I have a problem with my colours????? Sometimes I worry too much...but sharp it is...yet I cannot get my mind off of those two distinct colours..they make me dizzy! My mother used to tell me "Bob....You were born dizzy"...I am sure of course she was joking.

Another new butterfly for me! This is a beauty in a wonderful pose on the violet flower. Colors, shadings and details are all superb. I love the vertical composition.

You have captured this beautiful golden brown butterfly in great light emphasising the colour and detail of the wings and the furry body to its best. The top view is great against the pink flower, this way also showing the actual size of this beauty. Like always this is great photography from your hand, and has a soft effect to the eye.
