[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today we are discharging in Oristano on the Island Sardinia,in the morning it was a bit raining and windy,but in the afternoon it cleared up again,went ashore to try to make some nice captures (first object was to make some captures of the tankervessel I am sailing on),but even in the port area I was able to see some nice nature possibilities as well,I saw some kingfishers flying by and I could make a few shots of this dragonfly,have no clue about its ID and had only my 70-200 mm fitted to the camera (as I left my macrolens at home),as it started to get darker(close to sunset) I increased the ISO to 200,shot is taken handheld and MF of a distance of about 1 meter and I used the inbuild flash as fillflash,picture is cropped,resized and sharpened before upload,tomorrow will sail again from oristano (Sardinia) to Augusta (Sicily) to pick up a cargo for Larnaca (Cyprus),tfw and hope you like it.

Hi Paul,
A great beauty you are showing us here aganin today.
Excellent composition with the almost straight line of the reed and the diagonall line of the darter wich are leading the eye perfectly through the image.
Technically excellent work with great sharpness and exposure.
The way the dragonfly does stand out against the pleasing soft grey tones in the background and the colors and details are very beautiful.
Pity depth of field just was'nt enough to get the back end of the body in sharp focus also, but that does'nt effect the beauty of the image.

Hello Paul,
Very beautiful capture of this dragonfly in a fine pose and in beautiful colours against the grey background. Great focus on the eyes and I like the diagonal wings.
