Welcome to treknature.
The image of this poliporous is interesting and has a nice composition, but lack of details.
Fungi like dark places and a tripod is necessary for long exposures. Also this close ups need a lot of DOF (depth of field) to get subject into focus, and you can only obtain this by using big aperture values, try F:8 in you powershot.
