Hi Maurizio,

An excellent capture of this very well commouflaged grasshopper. It's amazing how well he stands out from the similarly colored pebbles. Razor sharp details from the tips of his antennae to the tip of his tail. The face and body are magnificent. Beautiful natural colors and a wonderful composition.

This is a wonder shot of a grasshopper. The details are lovely, good BG which is so close to the color of the subject. Focusing, sharpness and lightinf are all good. Nice composition and POV. TFS.

I am always surprised at the number of species of this simple thing. I spent most of my life thinking they all looked the same. This one looks like out of WWII from the desert wars in Norther Africa:-) Excellent work.

Your gallery is very impressive, All the shots are just beautiful in many ways. Even this one doesn't have all the bright and colorful flowers and green backdrop. You still managed to make it looks so pleasing to the eyes. Great details with all the colors almost blending in and the glass hopper nearly disappear into the background. Excellent works. Thanks

Hi Maurizio!

I sometimes regret that my Italian is not very good. I like reading your notes very much, but when it gets too "technical" or too scientific I have to check a lot of words in the dictionary... Here, in this picture, I like the unity of the colour tones very much and I'm impressed by the clarity and sharpness of the picture. I also believe that you know your 300mm lens very well.

Bonjour Maurizio,
Un peu de retard pour venir saluer ce petits criquet, bien adapté à son environnement, au point d'avoir pratiquement les mêmes couleurs. Bravo aussi d'identifier ces créatures; j'aurais une question à ce sujet: quel livre ou site utilises-tu pour identifier les criquets et sauterelles?
