LYCAENIDAE
Leptotes pirithous (Linnaeus, 1767)

veramente una bella composizione lepido-floreale,veramente azzeccata, complimenti.Luciano
Hi Marcello,
the tiny little Blue in this opulent natural garden of Epilobium blossoms sticks out very clearly by means of precise focussing. Almost made invisible by its grey colours and contour dissolving patterns, there is this pair of blue centred red framed eyespots on its hind wings that is drawing my attention here.
Normally we would expect more room in front of the butterfly than behind it to call an image well composed. This case is different. With the tail endings and eyes perfectly working as a false head to predators, the chosen composition has been done perfectly well here.
The miniaturization in design as you call it is impressively advanced in this drab coloured little blue that is overlooked so easily. A special merit that it is shown so clearly here.
With thanks, and best regards,
Peter
