Another really fascinating shot from you!
It's really interesting to see this blend of warm ground and show one next to the other.
The POV here is great and it really shows an impressive crater getting ready to "spit" some more :))
I see that you weren't the only one up there interested by the phenomenon :))
I have t ask this: i've noticed it in your last post, too, but i only asumed you made that choice on the boat, but here it is today, too...how come you didn't use you Canon on here?
Anyway, the photo is lovely and the note very interesting.

Gorgeous capture!
I like so much the inclusion of the people silhouettes here, it gives me sense of the scale.
Very impressive the slopes and the gases floating by.
I like so much the contrast of the whites from the snow with the intense blue sky.
How lucky to have had such good weather top over!
I found very good and appealing the composition made.

Excellent shot of this landscape. Erupting mountains, smoking plains, snow everywhere and yet hot feet. Must be quite an experience and as I can see you had good company. Wonderful POV and lovely natural colours. The BG mountain gives such an interesting depth. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Karan.
What an unusual shot: black-white colour tones and suddenly rich blue sky. Thi is very impressive effect. Amazing combination of snowy parts of the hills. These elements underline the beauty of the relief. POV is great too as well as the sharpness and details of whole image. The reflected smoke is looked very impressive too. My compliments and TFS.

Nicely done, Karan. When I saw the thumbnail I thought you had cropped this to tight, then I clicked on the image and the big one with all the silouettes popped out at me. Amazing!

Now I need to get a fag before I continue my critique....your title made me :)

A wonderful photo where the people give a great feel of scale. The combination of smoke, snow and ashes make this kind of landscape look very stange but interesting. What I really like about this photo is the diagonal line that splits up the photo in two. It somehow works.

fabulous POV, quite amazing view, the snow and than the smoking of the crater some how those contrasts seem so unreal.
