[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a recent holiday in Italy I was lucky enough to come across a small colony of the Woodland Brown butterfly. This butterfly is getting increasingly rare in western Europe and is mentioned in the EU Habitats Directive. I didn't note the exact spot (stupid me) but it was encountered while driving southwards out of Südtirol.

Hello Lars,

It is a fine capture of the butterfly showing the lovely patterns and the wing colours.
I like how you have included the flowers which give an almost chandelier effect.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Lars,
A great capture of the Woodland Brown with fine sharpness and well composed on the Silene flowers. This species i rare in Sweden but it still thrives in Östergötland and Gotland.
TFS,
Regards,
Ivan
