Hello Peter,
An excellent capture of a species of Melitaea, varia, that I have never seen. You made good use of the poor light to accomplish an almost totally sharp image of a fine fresh specimen from an open wing POV and you depict it as it is almost floating over the OOF BG.
Thanks for sharing this one
Best wishes,
Ivan

Hi Peter!

Very good macro of butterfly which is really rare in my neighbourhood. Nicely visible patterns and colours on insect's wings, good composition. Very detailed shot and interesting note.

Excellent shot Peter!
Nice details and colours. I like the composition and the background too.
Best regards,
Catherine

Hello Peter,
It sounds as though the lighting conditions were less than perfect, but that you have made an excellent picture none the less. Well done. Another Alpine treat. Thanks.

Hello Peter,
Lovely capture of this Alpine beauty that is new to me. It is slightly soft but that almost enhances the image. Beautiful colours and well composed. A meadow at that height must be wonderful!
TFS and cheers, Ulla
