Hello Peter,
Excellent capture of this alpine debilis ssp of Väddnätfjäril (we changed the name from 'Ärenprisnätfjäril' because 'ärenpris' or Veronica sp is not its larval host plant as once thought, whereas 'vädd' is the Swedish name for Succisa).
Great sharpness, DOF and composition with a hint of its mountainous habitat in the BG.
Thanks,
Best wishes,
Ivan

Hello Peter,

Excellent capture of this beautiful butterfly. Excellent sharpness. Superb colours.
Nice composition with a beautiful background but I would have cropped a little bit more behind the butterfly and let more space in front of it to emphasize the landscape a bit.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hello Peter,
Although the crop is a bit unusual, this is a very beautiful photo in excellent colours and great sharpness. Fantastic POV and OOF BG.
Kind regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,
Excellent detail and very good notes. For me, the crop here is all about the insect, not the foreground or background, so I am content with what you have done. Thanks.
Alan

Hi Peter:

Thanks for post this beautiful species that remembered me how similar are the european buttefly fauna and the High andean butterfly species. The background is very nice showing clearly that you are on a hard slope.

Carlos

Hello Peter, First I looked at the wings on the top and then the bottom. The bottom one is slightly OOF but the composition is okay. Ganesh

Hallo Peter,
das ist eine ganz herrlich gelungene Komposition. Alle passt, die Diagonale, der Hintergrund, die Blüte überstrahlt nicht, der Falter in ungewöhnlicher Flügelstellung. Schön!
Viele Grüsse
Dieter
