Hello Peter,
The contrast with the stone BG, the POV, sharpness and DOF combine to make this an ideal illustration of a male Boloria titania. Excellent work and a delight to view.
Thanks!
Best wishes,
Ivan

Hi Peter
Wow - never even heard of this one and I've loved all Lepidoptera since I was able to walk! ;p
Excellent capture - the use if f/16 has kept the detail of the subject in focus despite the angled POV. Good exposure and colour.
Kind regards
Vinny

Ciao Peter, splendid boloria with fine details and excellent sharpness, great macro, as usual for you, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Hello Peter,

A wonderfully detailed shot of this fritillary butterfly showing all the delightful patterns and colours on its opened wings.
Excellent textural contrasts between the insect and its stony perch.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Peter,
Beautiful Fritillary, it contrast well with the granite substrate.
Quality looks great with excellent sharpness, details, colors, and exposure.
I have a shot of a Variegated Fritillary I will post. Not quite as close and detailed as yours, I've been lazy using the long lens lately :)
Well done!
Howard

Hello Peter,

You have made a fine clsoe-up of this butterfly. It's nice colors are well shown against that bluish grey stone as background. You have chosen a good DOF showing sharply wing's pattern. Morover good details of the body can also be seen.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Peter,
Another very fine capture from your impressive collection of butterflies! It stands out very clearly from the rocky background and details are very sharp and the colours natural and beautiful.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Buenos dias Peter.

Anne
PS Im Wallis hat es fast einen Meter Neuschnee!

Hello Peter,

This is a fine shot of this pretty butterfly. Lovely crisp details on the wings wide open. It is quite hairy which gives a very nice and complete look in a butterfly. Good lighting, perfect focusing, DOF, POV and sharpness are all lovely. TFS.

Regards,
Pearl.
