Coenonympha pamphilus (Linnaeus 1758) Pamfila

Comune in estate in tutto il territorio, ove frequenta ambienti aperti e terreni sabbiosi coltivati.

Such an interesting photo with also nice details and light. TFS.

Ciao Silvio. Solito ottimo dettaglio e grande luce.

Roberto

Ciao Silvio,
A fine capture of a C. pamphilus that looks like it is just hanging on to the spider's thread but not caught!
Interesting to speculate if it could fly away.
Nice POV, sharpness, colours and lighting of a hairy species that is not easy to focus on. Excellent neutral BG and composition too.
Thanks and have a good week,
Ciao,
Ivan

Ciao amico,
The details in your image are amazing e.g. the pollen stuck to the end of the feelers and the tiny hair on the edge of the wings...

The crowning effect of course - the delicate spider-thread - opens so many questions:
where did you spot the Butterfly caught by the spider thread, in your garden? The pastel colours of the background are so subtle, and therefore support perfectly the frail colours of the butterfly!

Did you use a flash to achieve the transparent quality of the wings at 6 o'clock of the photo?

This image is quite exceptionel and I chose it as a favorite.
I wish you a good week,
Warm Regards
Ingrid
