Picchio verde (Picus viridis)
Picchio di grosse dimensioni, lungo circa 30 cm. apertura alare di 50 cm e di peso 150/250 grammi.
dal piumaggio verdastro con banda rossa sul capo, vive prevalentemente nei boschi di latifoglie, si ciba prevalentemente di formiche e larve che cattura sotto la corteccia degli alberi, grazie anche alla sua lunga lingua; si nutre occasionalmente anche di bacche, semi e lombrichi che cattura a terra.

Hello Franco,
good shot, nice details and good sharpness. The BG is a bit busy, but in nature we can't pick our back grounds. Nice POV and good colors. A well composed picture.
