Hello - now it's winter, we had snow this night.
A big storm with snow, it wasn't very nice - so I decided to show shot of summer and the warm days again.

You can see a Scolia hirta - Borstige Dolchwespe in German changing the flower just in that moment. This wasp is about 18 - 22 mm and very rare here in Germany.
I was searching for the english name, perhaps somebody can help me? Thanks.

So have a nice weekend, I'm happy for every word, bye and greetings to you all.

Moving on from one to the other..well in a way and through your title..that's how its done...but not so frequently pointed out in image..Very clear and sharp...superior colours and overall framing is wonderful!

Hello Sabine,
Great macro of S. hirta (I don't know the English name and this species is not found in Sweden). Nice sharpness ans excellent use of flash. The POv shows it up well on the daisy flowers against a great neautral BG.
TFS,
Cheers,
Ivan

Hallo Sabine,
Sehr schwere Objekt diese Wespe die Du vor deine Linse bekommen hast.Schwarz zu fotografieren ist noch schwere als weiss.Deine Makro ist scharf und die Farben sehr fein

Hi Sabine,
a very nice picture with good sharpness and details,
the colours are also very nice.
This time the fill-in flash is good, no hard light, hard contrast and no black BG, it's look nice.
Well done, my friend,
Have a nice weekend.

How black is the black, here, superb shot Sabine! I like the athletic movement of the wasp, very well caught, between the two flowers. But the beautiful deep black with the nice light make that picture beautiful. Thank you!

Francine

Was this shot in Italy or Germany?

Hello Wishnu
If I look at this beautiful image I see a 3 in 1 delight.
1.The main attraction is most certainly the wasp. It is a real beauty with strong colours and prominent markings and details. One cannot miss it. The clarity of the fine hairs are great and I like the shiny look of the head and parts of the body.
2.The flowers are truly beautiful and very interesting to look at. It is amazing to see how identical they look but on the other hand how different they are. The one with its rosy anthers and the other turmeric coloured. The details captured on the inside of these flowers are clearly shown and displayed.
3.My all time favourite on any image which have a flower or flowers as part as the image is the unopened or partly opened flower buds. This feature always attracts my attention and I see it as a wonderful way to round of a great image such as this one.
Great close-up with good sharpness, displaying colours and detail very well. Thanks for sharing, and "vasbyt" with the snow storms you might encounter in the days to come.
Best regards.
Anna

Liebe Sabine,

TFS.

Very good capture, beautiful composition, very sharp and good light.

This Wasp with a body length of 18-22cm would be the largest wasp on earth, if not in the whole universe, Sabine, ha,ha,ha!!!
What you meant was 18-22mm, unless I am stupid and know nothing about wasps :).
(Please forgive me for my humorous banter if it annoyed you.)
On a serious note, this is yet another marvellous picture from you. Your images are always so very artistic and colourful.
The picture is also technically superb and I like your bold cropping.
Well done and many thanks for sharing it.
