This litle chappie is my first upload of what you might call a hedgerow or garden bird. It looks very much like the sparrows that live in the barn wall near my house back in England but this one is, in fact, an Italian sparrow. I captured him sitting on a wall overlooking the bay at Sorrento.
I am so proud of my first capture! I hope you like it too! Any construcive advice would be most welcome.

Hi Bev,
this is a superb capture of this Sparrow.
Were you on holiday when you photographed this?
There's noise but the composition and POV is brilliant.
Well done,
Joey
Hi! :)
Nice photo, but I guess it has to much noise and sharpening... The composition also would benefit if you left more space between his head and the top border, as well as a little bit to the right.
Have fun ;)

Hi Bev. I like your shot of the little sparrow and its a great capture. His little claws are very clear and detailed. I however agree with Nelson and think that he did a great workshop of your picture. I am also learning all the time and find these constructive critiques very helpful.
Bye the way, you have some super pictures in your portfolio.
Regards, Irmgard
Hello Beverley,
I wish I could see your camera settings for this picture. There is something that didn’t happen correctly as it is not supposed to be that noisy. I wonder where it is coming from... Do you know which ISO you used? I also think that you should have let more space over its head. This is a nice effort and I wish you other opportunities like this. Thanks,
Claudine
Hi Beverly,
It's a bit tight, need more space especially above.
The picture seems to been to hard cropped and it looks oversharpen or you used the digital zoom on the camera.
But the POV is nice.
