A little proud?!?!? You should be extremely proud at this shot.
It is perfectly in focus and even sharper than many stationary dragonfly shots.
Amazing detail and colours.

Great difficult shot! I havf tried this a number of times with autofocus and have never been able to get the camera to lock on to something as insignificant as a moving dragonfly. Did you use manual focus? Well done. Reid

A rather daring shot, this, Sabine.
The image verges on the abstract in terms of your composition with those blurred lotuses in the background and the dragonfly's wings awhirr at 1/200 shutter speed.

Excellent capture ith fine sharpness and well composed with the blurred water lilies in the BG.
I have been wanting to photograph this species but I haven't seen it this year as it is quite rare in Sweden.

hi SAbine, good "sport" shot. Hard conditions and only 1/200 of second with f/11 is art photography. but it is excelent shot with find vivid coloures and good composition with water lily in background. TFS

I am really impressed about this photo. To capture a dragonfly seems already too difficult to me, but capturing one in full flight is simply amazing. You should be very proud.

What an excellent shot. And what I would give to be able to capture a shot of any of the dragonflies flying... I usually mess them up when they are stationary!

I love the colours and details and even the OOF BG of the water lillies compliment the picture so very well.
