Hi Sabine

This is indeed much more than a simple close-up! I really love the dimm light here and the effect it creates on the face and eyes of this beautiful dragonfly. It also makes the picture look much more moody and, together with the darker BG, makes such an amazing atmospherearound the entire photo. I think it can be used as a poster for some sort of a horror film.... :))))
Anyway, the picture is remarkable, with lovely colors and impressive sharpness.

Wow, what a monster with two big and two small eyes and unshaven as well!! I wouldn't want to meet him in the dark! - Amazing macro showing such sharp details and incredible colours of the eyes. Interesting and fun rather than beautiful! Very well done!

Powerful indeed, Sabine!
The use of flash to illuminate this close macro of the head of Cordulia aenia is just right to produce good colours without too much reflection. Excellent sharpness, details and composition.

I like your next terrific true macro picture. Skillfulness of the reproduction of the dragonfly's eyes impresses the imagination. Dark key of execution of the subject I perfect.
