Hi Peter

I'm sorry that by being very busy lately i've missed so many of your beautiful posts, but at least for now my schedule seems a bit clearer and i'm back to a more active participation on TN. I see you've been having some busy days as well :(
I see your archive is till full of amazing macros...that's really nice! They are going to come in handy during all this winter :)

Technically, i find this shot impeccable!
The details and clarity of every line and texture here is brilliant and the focus is spot on. Further more, all the important elements in the frame are in excellent focus which points to a terrific DOF, too.
I personally really like the texture on the wings as well as the ones on the petals of the flower - with the great color pattern and hairs - superbly well visible!
Surely, the colors in the scene are outstanding and very nicely saturated, the light is very well balanced and the POV is great - as we would expect from you.
Wonderful work!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hello Peter,
Superb macro of both the Burnet Moth and the Dianthus flower in excellent sharpness. The proboscis of this Six-spot Burnet is well seen and the DOF is remarkable, from the leg in the FG to almost the far antennae. The bokeh BG is very suitable and the composition pleasing.
Well done and thanks,
Best wishes, Ivan

Buen trabajo Peter.
Es difícil fotografiar zygaenas sin que aparezcan brillos en las alas. Otro problema es que salga bien el color rojo de las alas.
Tu has solventado bien todos los problemas.
Fondo difuso bien logrado. En resumen, un buen trabajo.
Regards
Ricard

Well done

I cannot imagine better scene and better its reproduction. Especially I am amazed with details of petals. It is fantastic. Sharpness and details of the moth are so perfect as well as the great DOF.
