Peter Lovely. I saw something similar like this in India and was amazed to see their color and nature gift to them.superb Ganesh

Ciao Peter,
Ciao e buona domenica,
Marcello

Peter, this is a marvellous macro of this alpine Grasshopper.
The profile view of the insect is unbelievably sharp and the colours are absolutely natural. The sun light has cast a lovely glow on the subject and the BG has done wonders in highlighting it.
TFS and regards,
Ram

Good afternoon Peter,
This fine macro of the Green Mountain grasshopper is presented with excellent sharpness and great side-lighting that shows the small whitish hairs on the body very clearly. The DOF is superb and allows the whole of the insect to stand out against a blurred natural BG. The short wings of this species show well here.
Thanks for sharing this fine image,
Best wishes, Ivan

Hi Peter,
What a handsome fella glistening in the bright light. The detail and clarity are spot on and the DOF captured the whole subject but nicely muted the background.Good natural colour and well done in capturing him balanced on the leaf.Take care and TFS.
Regards, David

Hallo Peter
A lovely grasshopper with beautiful colours and very prominent details. I am glad to see that your grasshopper has a name. I am still waiting patiently as mine stays unidentified. This grasshopper is really beautiful. (That is if hoppers can be beautiful) The colours is quite remarkable, but what attracts my eye the most is the fine hair on its body and the way it stands up straight and glows in the light. Lovely big eye and it appears that it has strong back legs. I like the way you captured it on the green leaf, and that together with the colours of the hopper makes a lovely combination. Well framed with good point of view and good focus. It was a pleasure to look at. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna
