Hola Peter,
buena macro,
óptimos detalles,
excelente trabajo,
saludos

Perfect capture from a fine POV Peter, the favourable lighting enabled the use of a suitable DOF to record the specimen in sharp focus and high detail, while leaving the BG pleasantly OOF. Very good indeed my friend!

Hello Peter,
You really have some fabulous shots from last summer and this is no exception! Excellent focus on this one showing intricate details and fine natural colours. I suppose they need thick "fur" to keep them warm in the Alps! :-)Fine smooth background too that makes it stand out.
Many thanks and regards, Ulla

Hello Peter,

Hello Peter,
A fine capture of this very local species, the Alpine Heath. Its ability to tolerate high altitudes is well seen by the dense hairy scales clearly shown in this portrait thanks to your excellent camera work.
Thanks for sharing this fine image,
Best wishes, Ivan

Helo Peter!
The series of Italian Satyrinae was a very good idea! It brings data not only about these beautiful insects, but also a lot of information about diversity of this group in the Alps!
Picture is very nice and beauty, even if this is not the "most colourful butterfly in the world" :)
I like a lot links in the note :)
Best greetings,
Radomir
