Ophrys promontorii
Height: 20-30 cm
Intermediate in form between O. garganica (itself a Gargano Peninsula endemic) and O. bertolonii and considered to have arisen as a hybrid between those two species.
Flowering: April-May
Habitat: Garrigue, maquis, light woodland and scrub areas.

Like other Ophrys species, looks interesting and great. How do you identify them as hybrids? I know that to be a very difficult task.

Lovely shot Jan!
Quality is very good and I like the framing a lot. Probably the BG is too busy and that makes the flowers kind of hide. They don't stand out well.
Anyway, I like it a lot.
