The Northern Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) is an elegant wader that is quite common in winter in the northern Italy.
In Italy it breeds only in the northern part but it is a little localized in the favourite habitat of the specie.
Here you can see a pullus of Northern Lapwing.
It was with other two brothers and the mother was around it calling and make a defensive behaviour just to distract me from her child. |
