Not only a yellow eye but a fabulous shot of the Clouded Yellow! It is very rare here and I'd love to see it. Very nice composition with excellent details and the colours are really beautiful!

Otra hermosa compo mis amigos con intensos, pero no saturados colores, buen DOF que produce una agudeza notable, no sólo sobre la mariposa, sino también sobre la flor.
Tal vez el F20 no haya difumado del todo el trasfondo, pero es muy bueno también.
Una prsentación de calidad... como tantas.

Another beautiful compo my friends with intense, but not saturated color, good DOF that produces a remarkable sharpness, not only on the butterfly, but also on the flower.
Perhaps F20 has not stumped the background completely, but it is very good also.

Great shot! Generally, I prefer shallow DOF in a picture of butterfly sitting on a flower, but looking at what you did here I have to admit I like it this way. Beautiful colors, good POV and excellent sharpness. The color of the flower compliments nicely edges of the wings. A really pretty image. Congratulations,

Hi Sabine,
what a wonderful shot of this butterfly. The image reveals a camera setting which I hardly ever use, but in fact I don't know why. This image is sharp where it should be. The use of flash is very well chosen and brings colorful brigtness to the picture, even at iso 800.
I hardly ever use F/20 but I never really considered of using fill in flash for insects. This image made me change my mind. I'm gonna try your method. Thanks for sharing,

Hallo Sabine,
ein schönes Mitbringsel aus Italien. Wunderbar komplementäre Farben und - wie immer - gute Schärfe. Schön ist auch die rosafarbene Einrahmung der Flügel zu sehen, in Entsprechung der Bein- und Fühlerfarbe.
Allerdings handelt es sich um
-- Colias croceus (auch Posillon genannt):
die Vorderflügel sind zentral knartschgelb und außerdem sieht man den breiten braunen Rand der Vorderflügeloberseite durchschimmern, ohne gelbe Flecken, also Männchen.

Only the ID is Colias croceus because of orange -yellow colouring in the forewing!

Hallo Sabine,
willkommen zurück vom Benaco! Prächtige Farben auf diesem Falter- und Blumenstück, scharf und klar bis in die letzten Details, von Licht durchflutet. Das gelbe Auge überrascht und entzückt.
Der schöne Falter könnte vielleicht doch eher ein Postillion "Colias crocea" sein, weil er gar so hübsch orange leuchtet. Eine goldene Acht leistet sich der ebenso auf seiner Kehrseite wie Freundin "Hyale", nur ist die dagegen ober- und unterseits eher blassgelb.
