Captured by you insect is very pretty. I like its details and colours. Sharpness of the insect and the flower is great. I like the blurred flower on the BG very much too. You have selected DOF perfectly. Your picture is full of light and life. My compliments.

Lovely shot of the Skipper, great composition and pose, I like the way you have captured it feeding with its proboscis, the detail on the Butterfly and Flower is superb and I really like the blurred flower in the BG, beautiful colousr too.

The skippers seem to be really popular subjects and they are indeed cute little things, chasing around like jet planes and then settling down nicely on a flower to be photographed! Great fun for us all and you've captured this Large Skipper very nicely. Good focus and beautiful colours.

Hallo Sabine,
ich muss mich auch noch melden (verschicke aber heute nichts mehr). Diesen Dickkopf (Ochlodes venatus) mit seinem weit ausladenden 'Strohhalm' hast du gut getroffen, ebenso wie die farbenfrohe Blüte. In die Gesamtkomposition passt auch die verschwommene Blüte im Hintergrund gut hinein.

Then depth in this photo is just amazing. The aperture choosen gave just the right BG showing the bext landing spot for this lovely b'fly. The details are superb, and I love the bright colors of both flower and b'fly.

Wonderful, Sabine. The colors are really great -- vibrant orange and purple repeated in the fg against a subtle bg of green. Nicely seen. Perfect DoF to show that off, too.

Again an image with superb details and colours, both main subject and the flower...
Lovely composition, an alternatuive could be to crop an inch or so in the top to get rid of that blurry flower...
