This is one of the most famous desert shrubs. It penetrates the Mediterranean regions in several places like this one - the southern sandy coast of Sicily. The samll leaves appear for a short time in winter and most of the year it phoyosynthesizes through the branches.

did not know this species that seems to me very similar to the Retama monocarp. I have done a WS fitting the clearness, thus emphasize the spots of the standard, I hope that it does not bother to you
