A swarm of bees settled on the apple-tree. A bit scary, when you come too close :)

Hi Sandra,
Very interesting, I have never seen a swarm get-together like this. If I had I am not sure whether I would have dared to approach .. How near were you? Can you include the lense(s) you are using in your posts, this info I always find interesting (if you enter them under manage/equipment in your account, you will have a drop-down menu to choose from, makes things easier).
Kind regards,
Gabi

Excellent example of the swarming habits of bees Sandra!
It is my understanding that they do this when the hive gets too over-crowded. Do you know if that is correct?
Well composed and framed!
Quite a clump of honey making material there!
Thanks for sharing,
Dave

My father has beehives too, but I didn't yet have occasion to capture such view. I have only plenty shots of bees inside the beehives.
You did well on this one. Photo has very good details and framing.
I like it very much.
WELL DONE & TFS

Very good detail, never seen anything like that apart from wildlife bbc programmes. Good detail. Well done. Tell me did you not get stung ?
