[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I shot this species in the National Park of the Curonian Spit with picturesque pine forests, secluded bays and magnificent sand dunes, more reminiscent of the Sahara than of Northern Europe! Sun lights the translucent wings... I think this is rare species and I’d like to know more about this beauty.

Nice picture of Aporia crataegi, female.
The light is unfortunately a bit unequal, with parts of the butterfly underexposed, and some overexposure on the flower. Yet the details and the pose are good.
I especially like the way the transparency of the wing shows up. This is, by the way, typical of the females, the males are more opaque.

Hello Rimantas
it's a very delicate colors photo. Framing is very beautiful like the contrast on a background from the soft colors. Very impressive sharpness and details. Great hand of light and exposure.

Hallo Rimantas
Absolutely marvellous! A beauty indeed, and because there are specks in your image that has the colour that is so special to me namely purple, it is even more breathtaking. This so so beautiful, I struggle with the right words to describe this image. Your abilities as great photographer is shown here as the image is in total really outstanding. Best regards.

Hello Rimantas,

You have made a fine photo despite the difficult lighting conditions. I think it is important that you have shown well the insect as the image is sharp and good details can be observed. It is interesting to see this specie not offen met in my region.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

A very good shot, well focused and clear, good colours and oof background make this a nice shot considering the light. TFS regards Bill

A slightly overexposed flower does not steal much from the flower, the details on the butterfly is amazing. I suggest using a reflector to get more details in the shadows.

hello Rimas!
very beautiful composition with a great detail of elegant Aporia crataegi
compliments for excellent gallery!!!
