First heats and Fire Bugs leaves winters colonies. Common name : Fire Bug – Scientific name : Pyrrhocoris apterus – Family : Pentatomidae.
He lives thus in dense groups on the trunk and with the foot of the limes, of which he sucks the fallen fruits, using his proboscis. The Fire Bug couple themselves at the beginning of spring and the female lays 50 to 60 eggs on the wet ground, under dead sheets. The larvae hatch in May, the adults emerging at the beginning of the winter. |

Hi Rimantas, very nice shot of these Fire Bugs. I have a similar shot I took a couple of years ago, but mine were in the fall, I guess in preparation for winter. The colour here in your shot is very good, with great contrast between these insects and the background foliage. The shot is sharp and very clear throughout. Great frame to frame composition.
Thanks, John
