| The Large White or Cabbage White (Pieris brassicae) is a butterfly in the family Pieridae. It is common throughout Europe, often in agricultural areas, meadows or parkland. Its wingspan is 5 to 6.5 cm. The wings are white, with black tips on the forewings of both males and females, the female also has two black spots on each forewing. |

Excellent Shot - I find the DOF sufficient and for the looks of it you didn't have much leeway what the light is concerned anyway. Good shot and good detail! Bravo!

Rimantas, We see this butterfly often on TN, but this is the best photo I have seen. Amazing sharpness and color saturation. Great edges. Great detail of eye and antenna. Beautiful composition with pleasing background and flower of complimentary color.
