| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Pearly Heath (Coenonympha arcania).
It flies as if hopping over the long grasses of its habitat, seldom visiting flowers, but often settling on a leaf or blade of grass to sun itself. Like many Satyrids, or Browns, it never opens its wings when settled. |

Hello Rimantas !
What an excellent close-up on this beautiful butterfly ! There are lots of interesting details, we can even see each little hair on the butterfly. I also like the composition, the POV, the blurred BG and the pose of the buttefly. Very well done !
Valerie.

Hi Rimantas,
Wonderful shot of this very beautiful Pearly Heath with such lovely colours and details on its wings. Very neat and sharp image with superb lighting. You have captured a fine pose on that leaf with a precise DOF and a well chosen POV. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.
