| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Odonata is an order of insects, encompassing dragonflies (Anisoptera) and damselflies (Zygoptera).
These insects characteristically have large rounded heads covered mostly by well-developed, faceted eyes, legs that facilitate catching prey (other insects) in flight, two pairs of long, transparent wings that move independently, and elongated abdomens. |

Hi Rimantas,
I like your composition of the shot here with the arched branch as a perch for the dragonfly. Good details, DOF and background.
regards,
Kaustubh

Hi Rimantas, again,
i was intrigued by this beautiful dragonfly portrait: it has a great DOF, all is very sharp, great light from the side. I've never seen this species before but the picture allows the ID: it is Libellula fulva, the Blue chaser, a young male (brown face, later on it will turn black). Great shot!
My best regards
Dietrich
