[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Small Tortoiseshell is among the most well known butterflies. This butterfly I found on a willow catkin.

Hi Rimantas

A rather interesting angle of this butterfly with the downward orientation.

What intrigue me with this capture are the two different halves of the butterfly that received unlike exposures thus rendering the wings slightly diverse in appearance. The left wing received direct light and the colour tones are bright and jolly whereas the right wing is in the shade and the colours are darker yet more saturated. The details are nice and sharp though as the relative fast shutter speed ensured a comparative steady camera. The lovely blue sky created a wonderful BG.

Good effort and TFS.
Regards
Loot
