[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This one is Coccinella septempunctata,Sevenspotted Lady Beetle on a Hepatica nobilis..
Life cycle of the ladybug is between 4 to 6 weeks. In spring adults lay up to 300 hundred eggs in an aphid colony. The eggs hatch in 2 to 5 days. The newly hatched larvae feed on aphids for up to 3weeks, and then they enter the pupa stage. The adult ladybug emerges about a week later. However, they usually do not have their spots for their first 24 hours of adulthood. There may be as many as six generations.

Hi Rimantas!

You present us a classical, yet very pleasant picture. The beetle is well put on stage and contrasts in a perfect manner with the colour of the flower. The whole is smooth, delicate and a real pleasure for the eyes.

Kind regards

Markus

Hello Rimantas,
How lucky to find a Ladybird on an Hepatica!
A very fine capture with the Ladybird sharply in focus. Great details and lovely colours too in this beautiful composition. Well done!
TFS and regards, Ulla
