[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This butterfly I found on a willow catkin.
The Peacock (Inachis io) is a well-known colourful butterfly, found in temperate Europe and Asia. It is the only member of the genus Inachis. The species is resident in much of its range, often wintering in buildings or trees. It therefore often appears quite early in spring.

Hello Rimantas, neighbour,

This is a very beautiful butterfly and you have captured it with a sharp exposure and fine details. The colours are exactly right!

Maybe it has over-wintered as its wings are a little ragged.

kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Rimantas,

This is an other of your very good insects photo! I like very much the way you combined the color tones of butterfly's wings and the colors of the background. There are nice sharp details of the butterfly due to the good DOF.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian
