Hello KrzysztoF,
Great capture from your Balkan tour. This is nice and sharp and contrasts well against the leafy BG. Great lighting, exposure and composition. The English name is the Swallow-tailed Moth. It is quite common in Southern Sweden but I haven't seen it in recent years.

You managed to meet so charming creature and to create really outstanding picture. Terrific reproduction of the white colour tones and tiny texture of the moth wings. Excellent DOF and wonderful reflection of the leaves. I like square cropping and composition/ All is superb. Bravo.

this is a very nice and furthermore technically excellent picture of a Geometride species which I like particularly because of its wing shape, size and colour pattern. Very good focus, sharpness and light management which has been neccessary due to the really light specimen of sambucaria - obviously a female.

Awesome looking moth and you have captured the details and markings so well. Very impressive sharpness and I like the shape of its wings and the intricate details on its tips. The green leaf works as a fine BG and lets it stand out. Great lighting and exposure and your chosen POV portray the moth perfectly. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Stealth but not......if it was on a white rose perhaps it could have hidden...white is a hard colour to get details in images...but you have succeeded either in good technique or good PP. Whatever it took, it worked. Nice image Krsy!

This is a beautiful moth very well captured. Good exposure showing sharp details. The green leaves makes it stand out nicely but personally I would have turned it diagonally.

Hi Krzysztof,

Fabulous macro shot - a truely stunning insect. A top view was a great idea for the shot as it shows the unusual shape of the wings really effectively; being highlighted against a medium green background helps emphasise the shape. Great posting.

Jakos przeoczylem te fotke wczesniej :) Zabawny tytul do - co tu duzo kryc, prawdziwej sytuacji ;) Dobry detal i ostarosc, notka moze troche krotka, ale za to tresciwa.
Moze w najblizszym czasie wrzuce tego samego zwierza z tego samego miejsca ale w innej odslonie ;)
