The bee must rank as one of the hardest working creatures on earth. Buzzing amongst the thousands of flowers of a garden hedge they toil all day long, already at work in the early morning and the last to leave, late in the afternoon. When I took this shot I couldn't help but wonder at the enormous reserves of energy these insects must possess in order to carry out their daily chores.

Bees in my compound avoid lantana flowers like plague, Mark. I am amazed you shot this one on a lantana flower!
Very good shot, though focus seems to have gone somewhat awry in the middle part of the bee. Or am I "seeing" things?
