Hello Mark,
you made a great work with this macro.
The sharpness is good, the colours are natural.
The huge eyes look very impressive, especially if there´s such an cutout.

Hi Mark,

The details are amazing but I see that the focus is a little soft on the right side of the face and also BG seems a little noisy but a good work indeed.I also agree with your note about the main objective of TN.

Hi Mark,
a nice close-up with very nic e colours and good POV.
The details and sharpness could be a lot better.
First of all you need a good support for this big close-up, if you move your camera just a couple of mm's toward/forwards when you pull the trigger it will be soft. And I'm not sure if the macro-lens is the good for the fine details as cells in a eye.
But this is a good try and next time you will get a sharp picture.

Imposing macro Mark with many details of the head of the insect, although the focus is something soft.

I like it a lot: composition, DOF, POV, color, lighting, background, framing.

I like it: sharpness, focus, notes.

I don't like it: nothing.

Interesting test with a very good close up, only you will have to work about the focus with the Raynox.

Hi Mark,
Excellent macro. I know how difficult it can be to get close enough. POV, colors and use of flash is excellent. Great DOF and sharpness of all those details.

Hi Mark,
I like your honest note so important to be open minded, to listen to advise and then decide what to take and what to leave.Quite amazing how close you got in this one...there is good enough detail to pick out individual hairs and eye segments but still lacking a bit in focus....so difficult when so close.A narrower apperture would have helped but I can see you had a lack of light.A good try...well done.

Hello Mark,
Managing a gigantic macro this size is not easy, but you have done a wonderful job here.
The image is sharp and clear and the details, especially of the eyes, are astounding.
I appreciate what you say in your note. TN is a great source of learning and many of us do benefit from it in some way or the other.
