Only when I zoomed to crop did I realize the insect had layed its ggs on the leaf - an added bonus for the photograph.

Very good macro, Mark. The two-colors bug with its freshy-laid eggs looks very nice.
I did a workshop mainly to crop off some portion on the left side of the picture. Please forgive me for the liberty taken.

Great capture, Mark. The eggs are definitely an added bonus.
Good exposure on that bug, and such a pretty orange color.
Sharp details and good POV. TFS. : )

Hi Mark,
The lady laying eggs is a leaf beetle, Labidostomis sp. (Chrysomelidae), quite probably a L. taxicornis.

Best regards,
Dmitry
